Case Study: Lockdown

Jenny Gray - Wadswick Green Resident

“Lock-Down!! Not words I expected to hear in our lovely Retirement Village of Wadswick Green.

All activities have stopped and we are isolated from one another. What can be done to make this situation more bearable?

Well the staff here have certainly stepped up with cheerful determination to keep us all happy.  Games, puzzles, keep fit suggestions, a pop-up shop for essentials and a delicious take-away menu. Yesterday they really excelled themselves by arranging for an open-air Zumba class!  Our regular teacher, Maria, led the class from the middle of the lawns and many owners joined in from their balconies or joined her on the lawn while maintaining the required distance. With an excellent sound system and a good pounding beat we were all able to join in and those who could not were entertained by watching the rest of us jumping about!

We very much appreciate the efforts of the whole team and want to say a big “Thank you!”
