The Greenhouse Restaurant, located in The Pavilion at Wadswick Green in Corsham, is celebrating the arrival of its new Head Chef, Richard Frankham, who brings more than 25 years of culinary experience.
Richard’s training started at the Hilton Hotel in Sheffield when he was only 17 years old but his passion for the industry quickly saw him rise up the ranks and move to an AA 2-rosette kitchen – an award given to restaurants that can show a focus on local, seasonal and quality ingredients – before joining the team at the Michelin-star awarded Burlington Restaurant.
At the tender age of 22, Richard accepted his first Head Chef position leading to the position of Executive Chef at a highly-regarded 4-star hotel in Guernsey. Now 43 years old, and having relocated to the Wiltshire countryside with his family, Richard is excited about making an impact at The Greenhouse.
He says: “The Greenhouse Restaurant is a fantastic space and has a very good reputation that I’m keen to take to the next level. I pride myself on creating dishes that incorporate fresh, seasonal and local produce. The fact that Wadswick Green has its very own ktichen garden is nothing short of fantastic as it will allow me and my team to create varied and flavourful menu options.”
Since its opening in 2015, The Greenhouse has established itself as a popular eatery for locals and residents of Wadswick Green. Nestled in the Wiltshire countryside, the restaurant is open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 7pm (until 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays) and for Sunday lunch.
