Rangeford Villages is proud to announce a new volunteer initiative at its Strawberry Fields community in Stapleford, developed in collaboration with the Arthur Rank Hospice Charity. The partnership aims to support the hospice’s vital work while offering staff and owners meaningful opportunities to engage with the wider community.
Through this program, owners of Strawberry Fields will volunteer their time and skills to assist with a variety of hospice activities, from helping in the on-site Bistro and garden to supporting fundraising events and providing companionship. The initiative reflects both organisations’ shared commitment to enhancing wellbeing and building connections across generations.
The volunteer program officially launched this month, with members of the team at Strawberry Fields helping with the decoration of the hospice’s Bistro in advance of their ‘Thank You’ tea party for some of their many volunteers.
“We are delighted to be partnering with Arthur Rank Hospice Charity” said Annabel Blake Community and Events Manager at Rangeford Villages. “This initiative not only strengthens our community ties but will empower owners to contribute to a cause that makes a profound difference in people’s lives.”
Hannah Touhey, Voluntary Services Manager at Arthur Rank Hospice added: “Our work depends on the generosity and involvement of the local community. Partnering with Strawberry Fields allows us to extend our reach and bring even more compassionate support to those facing life-limiting illness.”
She continued: “It was fantastic to have the support of Annabel and Amanda from Strawberry Fields to help us set up for our volunteers thank you party, celebrating our wonderful 600+ volunteers. They both got stuck in and took on the decorations with enthusiasm and creativity – even venturing into our gardens to pick bits of foliage to add to the flower arrangements! They were a great team to have on board, and we are very grateful for all their help.”
